On September 27, 2018 was held the first general assembly of the Africa Data Center Association in Morocco, Marrakech.
DataXion is one of the 28 founding members of this organization, and was present at this first assembly to launch the association and participate in the election of ADCA board members.
DataXion takes a keen interest in Africa’s digital revolution and the strategic development of data centers on the continent.
Mrs. Fatoumata Sarr Dieng has been elected president of ADCA and here are the board members:

Treasurer: Wouter Van Hulten – Peace Data Centers – Ghana
Vice-Chairman 1: Stéphane Duproz – Data Center Africa (Liquid Telecom), South Africa and Kenya
Vice-Chairman 2: Amine Kandil – N + One, Morocco
Vice-Chairman 3: Dr Lawrence Nkala – Tel One, Zimbabwe
Vice-Chairman 4: Paul-Francois Cattier – Schneider Electric, Ivory Coast
To clarify the association’s objectives, the President of the Africa Data Center Association said:
“Firstly, we want to bring together our assets in Africa to keep our data on the continent. The second is to reduce the latency and connectivity problem we have in Africa. Finally, our main goal is to be a major player in the new digital economy.”
